1964OSCAR M. CARTER OF ST. CHARLES DIES
Oscar M. Carter of St. Charles, died thursday, March 5, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. He was 76 years of age.
Mr. Carter was born near St. Charles July 25, 1887, a son of John M. and Adeline Smothers Carter. His life was spent in that community. During his active years he engaged in farming.
He was married May 8, 1907, to Jennie M. McDonald, who survives him. He also leaves a daughter, Mrs. Florence Egger of Sturart, three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday from Blair Chapel, near St. charles, conducted by the Rev. Howard Cho. Burial was made in Blair Chapel cemetery.
