Mrs Canty Dies at 36

Mrs. Doris G. Canty, 36, died Saturday, February 12, 1977, at Broadlawns General Hospital. She was born in Winterset, a resident here until she and her family moved to Des Moines eight years ago.

Mrs. Canty was a housewife, graduated from the De Soto schools. She was affiliated with the Good Tidings Assembly of God Church and was a Welcome Wagon member.

Survivors include her husband, Hollie Canty; seven children at home, a son, Charles Lee Canty, six daughters, Rita Jean, Virginia, Marie, Peggy Sue, Lisa Robin, Kay Ann, Bobby Jo; her mother, Mrs. Nester Yates of Winterset; a brother, Melvin Yates of Carrier Mills, Ill., and a sister, Mrs. Phyllis Lanz of Omaha, Nebraska.

Funeral services for Mrs. Canty were conducted Wednesday February 16, at 1:30 p.m. from Hanilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines with burial at the Glendale Cemetery.
