FRED D. WORM, New Virginia

Services for Fred Davis Worm, 91, New Virginia, who died Jan. 26, 1989, at the Osceola Leisure Manor at Osceola, Iowa, were held Monday, Jan. 30, at the United Methodist Church in Peru with the Rev. Ann Louise Weisenfluh of Truro officiating. Burial was at the Peru Cemetery.

Born in Adams County on Nov. 10, 1897, he was the son of Frederick and Rose Page Worm. On Dec. 31, 1929, he was married to Zela Leeper at Emmetsburg.

Mr. Worm was a farmer and railroad emloyee and had lived in New Virginia for 15 years and in Peru for 30 years.

Survivors include a son, Leroy and wife Ella of Garland, Texas; daughters, Joyce Reynolds and husband Robert of New Virginia, and Marlene Behrens and husband Charles of Alamo, Texas; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a sister, Nell Moore of St. Joseph, Mo.; and a brother Bennie, of Manchester, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, nine brothers and sisters and a grandchild.
