BYNA WOODS, WAUKEE

Byna G. Woods, 79, of Waukee, died of heart failure March 26, 1994 at the Adel Acres Care Center. Funeral services are today, March 30, 1994 at 1 p.m. at the Maple Grove United Methodist Church in rural Waukee. Burial will be at the Waukee Cemetery in Waukee.

She was born in Earlham and lived in Waukee since 1951. She was a homemaker and co-owner/operaator of the Uptown Cafe in Waukee. She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge, Maple Grove United Methodist Church in rural Waukee, several church organizations, Ever Ready Club, and the Women's Social Christian Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and June (Neff) Bechtel and one brother.

Surviving relatives include her husband Nelson Woods of Waukee; four daughters, Harriet Irvin Hawbaker of Waukee, Barbara Shoeman of Waukee, Patricia Nelson of Burnsville, Minn., and Nancy Peggs of Madrid; one brother, Victor Bechtel of LaGrange, Mich., one sister, Beatrice Carlson of Madrid; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and six step-grandcildren.
