Thursday, October 24, 1935DEATH OF WILLIAM H. MOORE
William H. Moore, a resident of Madison county for most of his life, died near Spirit Lake, October 13 after several years of failing health. He was 64 years of age.
Mr. Moore was the son of J. C. and Martha Moore and was born in Madison county, February 1, 1871. He was married to Delila Hoyt on October 8, 1903, at Winterset. They were the parents of four children, one son dying in infancy.
For several years following the death of his wife, in 1920, Mr. Moore continued to make his home in Madison County, but in 1927 he made his home with his brother, Clarence, and sister, Myrtle. About a year later they moved to Terrill, Iowa, which has since been his home.
He is survived by his three children, Mrs. Bernice Crane of Billings, Oklahoma, Rex A. Moore of Austin, Minnesota, and Mrs. Minn Neva Duane of Houghton, Michigan; three brothers, Ira, Clarence and Herbert Moore, all of Winterset; and three sisters, Mrs. Nettie Hiskey of Des Moines, Mrs. Elizabeth Clifton of Murray, and Miss Myrtle Moore of Winterset.
Short funeral services were held at Milford, Iowa, October 14, following which the body was brought to Madison county for burial in the Peru cemetery.
