MRS. J. A. ROBERTS

Mrs. J. A. Roberts, whose death occurred at Blunt, S.D., on April 15th, was brought here for burial.

Mrs. Roberts, who was Florence Beem, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lem Beem of Winterset, spent her entire life here until a year ago, when the family moved to South Dakota. She graduated from the Winterset high school in 1919, and after teaching two years, was married to J. A. Roberts.

She leaves to mourn her early departure, the husband, two little daughters, and many other relatives. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. A. R. Weed, were held Saturday and burial made in the Roberts cemetery.

Mrs. Alva Roberts

Florence Beem Roberts, the wife of J. A. Roberts, died at her home near Blunt, South Dakota, last Wednesday. Friday, the body was brought to the home of Mr. Robert's mother, Mrs. Maggie Roberts, at Webster, the funeral occurring Saturday afternoon with Rev. Weed in charge. Interment was in the Robert's cemetery.

Mrs. Roberts was a graduate of the class of 1919 of the Winterset High School and had taught two years before her marriage in 1921. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lem Beem. Mrs. Roberts, who was only twenty-five years of age, is survived by her husband and her two little daughters, one two years old and the other six months.

Florence Hazel Roberts

Florence Hazel Beem was born January 9th, 1900 in Madison county, Iowa. All her life was spent in Madison county accept the past thirteen months which were spent in South Dakota.

She graduated from the Winterset High School in 1919 and was a successful teacher for two years. She was married to James Alva Roberts April 30, 1921. She departed this life April 15, 1925 at the age of 25 years, 3 months and 6 days.

She united with the Church of Christ of Winterset when 12 years of age. She was a sweet loving girl, devoted wife and mother.

She leaves to mourn her departure her companion and two little girls, Helen Lavina, age two years and Dorothy Jean, age six months, also an aged father and mother, one brother, Clarence Beem of Winterset, and five sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Furrow, of Mullen, Nebraska; Mrs. Lula Estel, of Winterset; Mrs. Stella Craves, of Winterset; Miss Susie and Amanda in the home, besides other relatives and a host of friends.
