PHILLIP WRIGHT NOW LISTED AS DEAD

S. Sgt. Phil Wright of Grimes, former Madison county boy who had been missing in action over Hungary since the summer of 1944, has been officially listed as killed in action, in the army casualty report published Sunday.

Sergeant Wright was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Wright of Grimes, and the grandson of Mrs. Will Smith of Winterset. He was an operator-gunner on a bomber which was shot down over Hungary.

MEMORIAL SERVICES FOR PHILIP WRIGHT

Memorial services for St. Sgt. Philip W. Wright of Granger, former Madison county boy who was recently reported to have been killed in action in a bombing raid over central Europe last year, will be held Sunday.

The rites will be held from the U. B. church in Granger at 2:30 p.m. Winterset relatives are planning to attend.
