Esther Helen Burgoyne, Winterset

Graveside services for Esther Helen Burgoyne, 64, who died May 23 at the Care Center North, were held Saturday, May 26 at the Winterset Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Updike officiating.

Born in Des Moines on July 8, 1919, she was the daughter of David E. and Mildred Easter, Benjamin. She had lived here for the past six months, coming from California.

She was a member of the Foursquare Church and spent most of her life as a homemaker. She was married to W. M. Taylor in 1944, and he died in 1952. She married Ernest Burgoyne on Dec. 5, 1965 at Glendale, Calif.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Rebecca Stottlemire of Lawrence, Kan.; a brother, Joe Benjamin of Winterset; a sister, Eleanore Hough of Marietta, Ga.; and two grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
