Funeral services for Marjorie Edith Johnson, 82, were held April 29 at First United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Bauer officiating. She died April 26, 1991 at Madison County Memorial Hospital.

A Winterset resident since 1953, she was born December 3, 1908 in Shenandoah to Nelson and Bertha (Howard) Buntz. She married Clyde (Johnny) Johnson June 8, 1940 in Lincoln, Neb. A retired school teacher, she taught 16 years in the Winterset Community School District. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church and the Progressive Study Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother.

Survivors include a cousin, Mrs. Jos. O'Hara of Shenandoah and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Bob Johnson of Onawa.

Burial was at Winterset Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
