MRS. MYRTIE BROCK DIES AT 52 YEARS

Mrs. Myrtie Brock, a resident of the Winterset and Lorimor communities all her life, died Monday at her home in Monroe township. She was 52 years of age, and her death followed an extended illness.

Mrs. Brock was the former Flossie Carter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Carter. She was born May 26, 1900.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Alice of Des Moines; three grandchildren; and five brothers, Fred Carter of Ottumwa, Horace Carter of Macksburg, Lynn Carter of Long Beach, Calif., Bill Carter of Afton and Lee Carter of Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Christian church in Lorimor, conducted by the Rev. Paul Shook. Burial will be made in the Lorimor cemetery.
