Lois Brittain, DeSoto

Lois J. Brittain, 75, of DeSoto, died of a respiratory ailment Jan. 1, 1996 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Funeral services will be held today (Thursday, Jan. 4) at 11 a.m. at Fisher Funeral Home in Adel. Burial will be at McDonald Cemetery near Winterset.

She was born in Des Moines on Aug. 17, 1920 to Whitney and Norma Clark. She married Joseph Brittain on Sept. 27, 1942, in Las Vegas, Nev.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son; and a brother.

Surviving relatives include her husband; two sons, Clark of DeSoto and Pastor Jason Brittain of Cheyenne, Wyo.; a sister, Betty Harper of California; a brother, Whitney Clark of Calif.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
