September 6, 1920 - February 12, 1999

M. Eileen Ramsey, daughter of Pearl and Roy Price, was born on September 6, 1920 in rural Earlham, Madison County. She passed away from respiratory failure on February 12, 1999.

Eileen was born the fifth of seven children. She attended De Soto and Earlham Schools and graduated from Earlham High School. She married William C. Ramsey on September 30, 1939. Eileen and Bill had two sons, Rodney of Earlham and Douglas of Lakewood, California.

Eileen was an excellent homemaker. She worked as an accountant and bookkeeper. She is best remembered for her talent for needlework and sewing, which she generously shared with her family and friends. Her passion for learning and reading always made for interesting conversation. She was an inspiration to her family and friends for her perseverance and good humor in the face of her physical challenges.

Eileen leaves the following to celebrate her life: her sister, Mildred Robertson of Pleasant Hill; her brother Herbert Price of Carlisle; her sons, Rodney and Douglas Ramsey; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Pearl; her husband Bill; her sister Cleo; and her brothers Morris, Willard and Robert.

Burial was in the Earlham cemetery.
