Funeral services for John F. Breech of Patterson were held Wednesday, April 1, from the Anderson home for funerals in Winterset. The Rev. Eldon Hayworth conducted the services. Burial was made in the Patterson cemetery.
Mr. Breech's death occurred Tuesday, March 31, at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines, at the age of 81 years.
He was a native of near Lebanon, Mo., where he was born May 11, 1871, a son of Peter T. and Rachel Breech.
On July 16, 1893, he was married to Nancy Ellen Agee. They were parents of nine children.
He is survived by his wife; six children, Oscar D. Breech of San Bernadino, Calif., Willis R. Breech of Sun Valley, Calif., Mrs. Mary L. Walston of Adel, Mrs. Vada E. Wagner of Indianola, Owen G. Breech of Pomona, Calif., and Mrs. Velva J. Donahue of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Wilson of Prosperine, Mo., and Mrs. Maggie Lamenick of Burbank, Calif.; one brother, Charles Breech of Phillipsburg, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
