Death of Mrs. Brayman

Bessie Fern Brayman, a native of Madison County, born here February 27, 1901, died at Madison County Memorial Hospital Saturday, December 4, 1976. She was 75 years of age.

The daughter of Arthur Clay and Ann Matilda Sawhill Barr, Mrs. Brayman was a lifetime resident of Madison County, affiliated with the Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Brayman was married to Clarence Hooper on February 27, 1919 in Winterset. He preceded her in death May 24, 1931. Her marriage to Floyd Brayman took place November 5, 1950 in Canton, South Dakota. Mr. Brayman preceded his wife in death on January 27, 1969.

Survivors include a son, Larence E. Hooper of Winterset; a sister, Elsie Benson of Afton; eight grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. Mrs. Brayman was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, a daughter, two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services for Bessie Brayman were conducted Monday December 6 at 1:30 p.m. from Collins Funeral Home, Rev. Alan Parker officiating. Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery.
