RUDOLPH BOTE OF WINTERSET DIES

Rudolph S. Bote, a resident of Winterset for many years, died Friday, Jan. 24, at a Winterset nursing home. He was 84 years of age.

Mr. Bote was a native of Lacona, where he was born Feb. 21, 1884. He was a veteran of World War I, and a life member of the Winterset post, Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of the American Legion.

He was also a member of the St. Paul Lutheran church in Winterset.

Nearest surviving relative is a sister, Mrs. Theo Ferber of Dallas, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Edward R. Zaiser. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery with military ritual by the Winterset post, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
