Evelyn Bomar, Winterset

Evelyn Bomar, 82, died Wednesday, April 22, 1998, at Care Center North in Winterset.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 25, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Winterset with Pastor Pat Stout officiating. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery in Madison County.

Evelyn Bomar was born Feb. 12, 1916, in Madison County to Bert and Lucy (Davison) Rinard. She married Olin Fred Bomar Aug. 10, 1936, at Grant City, Mo. She was a retired nurse's aide, a lifetime resident of Madison County and active in the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, two brothers and one sister.

She is survived by four sons, Fred of Van Meter, Jack of South Shore, Ky., Bob of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Dan of Marshalltown; two daughters, Darla Flanery of Talladega, Ala., and Kathy Quakenbush of Gorham, Kan.; one brother, Carold Rinard of Texas; four sisters, Mary Mintle of Des Moines, Bonnie Feldman of Van Meter, Peggy Cunningham of Portland, Ore., and Hilda Sandusky of Clear Lake; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Memorials may be directed to the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Winterset.
