Bessie S. DeVault
January 2, 1893 - March 31, 1979Bessie Sophronia, daughter of Alfred W. and Amanda Carter Estell, was born January 2, 1893 in Adair County, Iowa and passed away at her home in Stuart, March 31, 1979.
On October 3, 1917 she was united in marriage to Forest Dale DeVault at Winterset, Iowa. After the death of her husband she moved to a farm in Guthrie County and later to her home in Stuart.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, eight brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Don (Helen) Miller of Dexter, Iowa and a son, Paul of Mansfield, Texas, eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
