April 16, 1891 - April 27, 1979Edna M. Coffman, the daughter of Alleson and Lucy May Hinshaw Brunton, was born in Minnesota on April 16, 1891. She passed away at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset on Friday evening, April 27, 1979 after a short illness.
Edna was united in marriage to Walter Coffman. Their marriage was blessed with seven children. In 1930 they moved to the Earlham area. Walter passed away in 1962.
Edna was a member of the Earlham Church of Christ. Throughout her life she enjoyed sewing and quilting and has made many beautiful things.
Survivors include three sons, Orville of Dexter, Warren of North Hollywood, California, and Walter, Jr., of San Diego, California; two daughters, Mrs. Fern Griffieon of Adel, Iowa and Mrs. Mary Carr of Whittier, California; 14 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; also surviving is a brother, Homer Brunton of California and two sisters, Mrs. Fay Beard of California and Mrs. Eva Scott of Pueblo, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, one great-grandson, four brothers and four sisters.
Burial was in the Earlham cemetery.
