Wednesday, May 3, 1972Henry Berry, son of Lewis and Althelia Kingery Berry, was born August 6, 1893, in Madison County and passed away at his home in Lorimor April 21, 1972.
He spent most of his life in Union and Madison counties, having farmed for many years before retiring and moving to Lorimor. He was married Oct. 18, 1916, to Martha Criswell at Winterset, Iowa. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Besides his wife, Martha, 3 daughters, Evelyn Baker and Edna Hall both of Ogden, and Arlene DeVries of Buffalo Center, 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and other relatives survive. His parents, 2 brothers and a son preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 24, at 2 p.m. from the Baptist church with Rev. Wayne Ferguson officiating. Burial was made in the Lorimor cemetery under the direction of Watts and Soil funeral service.

LORIMOR—Henry Berry, 77, a retired farmer, died suddenly late Friday afternoon at his home here. He is survived by his widow, Martha, and three daughters, Mrs. Arden (Evelyn) Baker and Mrs. Carl (Edna) Hall, both of Ogden, and Mrs. Arlene Devries, of Buffalo Center. He was preceded in death by a son, Bernard.
Mr. Berry’s body is at the Watts and Soll funeral home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

LORIMOR—Funeral services for Henry Berry, 78, of Lorimor, were held at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist church at Lorimor. Rev. Wayne Ferguson, the pastor, officiated. Burial was in the Lorimor cemetery.
Mr. Berry, a retired farmer who had lived in Lorimor since retiring from farming, died suddenly at his home here last Friday. He had farmed in Madison and Union counties all of his life until his retirement.
He was born in Madison county, Aug. 6, 1893, the son of Louis and Athelia Kingery Berry and was married Oct. 18, 1916, at Winterset to Martha Criswell.
His widow; three daughters, 11, grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren survive. He was preceded in death by a son, his parents and two brothers.
