Lucille Marie Boyle
June 20, 1922 - May 12, 1995

Lucille M. Boyle was born the daughter of Bert and Ida Clausen Jobst on a farm near Dexter, Iowa. Lucille graduated from the Dexter High School. Immediately thereafter, Lucille graduated from the Comptometer Business School in Des Moines and shortly thereafter worked as the comptometer operator at Broadlawns Medical Center and also for the Tama County ASC offices.

Lucille and Dale Boyle were married February 8, 1943 in the Zion Lutheran Church in Dexter. This union was blessed with three children David, Karen and Ted.

In 1950 Lucille and Dale moved to the family farm near Earlham where she would live for the next 45 years, keeping busy working in her garden and with her flowers.

Lucille's church was where she spent many hours as a labor of love. She was the Cradle Roll Superintendant for over 20 years. She also taught Sunday School, Bible School, held numerous offices in the Ladies Aid Society, and was especially proud of her work as the Zone Chairman with the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

Lucille managed to find time to be a leader of the Penn Gwens 4-H Club as well as the activities of the Madison County Farm Bureau Women. According to family members, Lucille was the "Major Operator" of the family egg laying operation, which Lucille attended to and collected 8 to 9,000 eggs daily for fourteen years.

Lucille was known for her angel collection, which numbers in excess of 200 pieces.

Lucille was preceeded in death by her parents and leaves the following family to celebrate her life: Husband Dale R. Boyle, Son David D. Boyle and wife Carolyn of Earlham, Daughter Karen Jones and husband Jim of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, Son, Ted K. Boyle and wife Vicky of Earlham, Brothers Harold Jobst of Dexter, and Marvin Jobst of Earlham, 6 Grandchildren, 2 Step Grandchildren, and 4 Step Great-Grandchildren.

Burial was in Penn Center Cemetery
