Maude G. Bennett, 87, of Broomfield, Colorado died of natural causes Dec. 11, 1995 at the Avista Hospital in Louisville, Colo. Graveside services were Dec. 18 at the Winterset Cemetery. The Rev. Bobby Dickerson officiated the services.
She was born in Madison County on Aug. 8, 1908 to John L. and Laura (Bruett) Reid. She married A. Floyd Bennett on Nov. 27, 1930 in DeSoto. She was a homemaker and had farmed with her husband. She was a former schoolteacher at the Bennett Stone School House. She was a lifelong resident of Winterset until moving to Colorado a few years ago.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one son.
Surviving relatives include one daughter-in-law; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
