WINTERSET BURIAL FOR EFFIE BELL, 86

Funeral services for Mrs. Carl Bell, a former long-time Madison county resident, were held April 8 from Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.

The former Effie Trowbridge she was born near Patterson in 1882. She lived most of her life in this county, and was a former school teacher.

In recent years she had been a seamstress in Des Moines.

Survivors include a sister, Edna Schirm of St. Charles and a nephew, Stanley Bell of Winterset.
