Billy Joe Beedle, 67, of Des Moines died of a heart attack Nov. 15, 2001, at his residence.

Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 19, at Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset with the Rev. Robert Barrick officiating. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery, Madison township, Madison County.

Billy Joe Beedle was born Feb. 13, 1934, in Winterset to Roy Walter and Orrell Ocal (Benge) Beedle. He had resided in Des Moines throughout his adult life. Billy Joe had been a supervisor for Action Warehouse and had retired from Des Moines Steel as a steel worker. He was currently employed by Community State Bank as a courier. He had been a member of the Masons and the Shriners and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Lucille (Barns) Beedle; and a brother.

He is survived by a daughter, Brenda Jean Konstant (husband Peter) of Des Moines; two stepdaughters, Jane Lovan and Mary Anderson, both of Des Moines; a brother, Perry Beedle of Missouri; a sister, Lynn McNabb of Des Moines; and several grandchildren.
