Death Occurred Tuesday, Just Nine Days After That Of Husband
Mrs. John C. Beck of Winterset, life-long resident of Madison County, died Tuesday, July 9, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. Her death occurred just nine days after that of her husband, on June 29.
Mrs. Beck was 83 years of age. She was the former Floss Katherine Stewart, daughter of Adam and Eliza L. Stewart, and was born at Macksburg on July 22, 1879.
She was married to John C. Beck at Winterset at Winterset on Feb. 2, 1904. They were parents of two daughters and a son, all of whom survive their parents.
She was a member of the Presbyterian church.
The three children are Mrs. Lora Willcox of Jackson township, Mrs. Marguerite Zendzian of Milwaukee, Wisc., and James Stewart Beck of Detroit, Mich. She also leaves three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Lee Stewart of Macksburg; and a sister, Mrs. W. R. Cameron of Kansas City, Mo.
Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 10 a.m. from the Wilson Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. John E. Fink, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Winterset. Burial will be made in Winterset cemetery.
