Ruth Beeler, 85, died April 1 at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington, Iowa, where she was a resident. There will be no services.

Born in Peru on August 24, 1906, she was raised in Madison County. She graduated from Simpson College and taught in a high school in Gary, Ind. until her retirement.

There are no immediate survivors.
