Harlan Andrew Hart, 73, died at his home in Peru last Wednesday, August 16. Mr. Hart had farmed in Polk and Madison Counties and had lived at Peru since 1954. He was born January 26, 1899 in Lynn Creek, Iowa, a son of Weir and Jeanette Hughes Hart.
Mr. Hart was married August 20, 1938 to Helen Loose at Dubuque, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Helen.
The funeral was held Saturday afternoon, August 19, at the Kale Funeral Home at Truro with the Rev. Richard Hempenius in charge. Burial was made at the Peru Cemetery.

Funeral services for Harlan Hart were held Saturday, August 19 from the Kale Funeral Home in Truro. He died Wednesday, August 16 in his home at Peru. The 1:20 p.m. services were conducted by the Rev. Richard Hempenius with interment in the Peru Cemetery, Peru, Iowa.
Harlan Andrew Hart was born January 26, 1899, son of Weir and Jeanette Hughes Hart. He was educated in Polk county and farmed in Polk County and Madison counties. He was united in marriage to Helen Loose in Dubuque, Iowa August 20, 1938. No children were born to this union.
