ELDEN BEAMAN DIED THURSDAY

Madison County Resident for Half Century Was 72 Years of Age

Elden Beaman, a well-known Jackson township farmer for many years, died Thursday, April 1, at Memorial Hospital in Winterset. He was 72 years of age.

Mr. Beaman was born in Adair county, but had lived in Madison county for 50 years. He was born July 13, 1892, a son of Elmer and Almina Roberts Beaman. His life was spent in farming. He was a member of the Webster Methodist church.

Mr. Beaman was married Dec. 21, 1916, to Angie Estle, who survives him. He also leaves a son, Claude Beaman of near Dexter; one grandchild; one great grandchild; four brothers, Charles Beaman of Greenfield, Jack Beaman of Sun City, Ariz., Clarence Beaman of Temple City, Calif., and Floyd Beaman of Fullerton, California; and two sisters, Mrs. Iva Garland of Winterset and Mrs. Mamie Cook of Keosauqua.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Wilson Funeral home in Winterset, with the Rev. Milton Haedt, pastor of the Webster Methodist church officiating. Burial was made in the Greenfield cemetery.
