Frank (Frog) Rolland Bates, Macksburg

Services for Frank "Frog" Rolland Bates, 74, a longtime resident of Macksburg who died Mar. 3 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, were held at the United Methodist Church at Macksburg Saturday afternoon with the Rev. Kathy Biffen officiating. Burial was at Moon Cemetery, Macksburg.

He was born at New Plymouth, Ida., the son of Frank and Sophronia Eivins Bates. He was a farm laborer and never married.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Edith Delaplain, Menlo, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and four brothers.
