Stephen Kent Yontz, 24, of Missoula, Montana, (formerly of Earlham) died June 25, 1955 of injuries sustained in an auto accident in Missoula, Montana. Funeral services will be June 29 at 11 a.m. at the Earlham Church of Christ. Burial will be at the Earlham Cemeery. Visitation will be today, Wednesday, 6 - 9 p.m. at the Westover Funeral Home.
He was born in Des Moines to Randall and Myrittis Yontz of Waukee. He graduated from Earlham High School in 1989 and attended Iowa State University in Ames before transferring to the University of Montana.
He was preceded in death by both his grandfathers.
Surviving relatives include his parents; one brother, Mark Yontz of Clive; his paternal grandmother, Ruth Yontz of Harlan, Ind.; and his maternal grandmother, Myrttis Bartle of Harlan, Ind.
