Edward C. Younkin of Macksburg died there Monday, March 25, at the age of 88 years.
Mr. Younkin was born near Afton, Aug. 28, 1874, a son of Jeremiah and Caroline Younkin. In early life he united with Emanuel Baptist church, later transferring to the Lorimor Baptist church.
On Feb. 24, 1901, he was married to Eva M. Harris. She preceded him in death.
He is survived by five children, Mrs. Isele Pyle of Independence, Mo., Ivan Younkin of Pleasanton, Calif., Clarence Younkin of Marshalltown, Mrs. Orpha Foreman of Macksburg, and Mrs. Pearl Jeter of San Diego, Calif. He also leaves 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held last Thursday from the Lorimor Baptist church, with burial in the Lorimor cemetery.
