FORMER RESIDENT DIED LAST FRIDAY

Mrs. Etta M. Barcroft, formerly of Madison county, died Friday, March 31, at a hospital in Ft. Dodge. She was 76 years of age.

Mrs. Barcroft spent the first 35 years of her life in Madison county, but had been living at Rockwell City in recent years.

She was the former Etta May McGlothlen, daughter of Albert and Caroline Kirkland McGlothlen and was born at Macksburg on Jan. 5, 1885. She worked for many years as a seamstress at Winterset and in Des Moines.

She was married in 1923 at Rockwell City to Ralph Barcroft. His death occurred in 1939.

Mrs. Barcroft was a member of the United Presbyterian church in Winterset.

Nearest surviving relative is a niece, Mrs. Gene Harris, of Rockwell City.

Funeral services were held this Monday from the Anderson-Wilson Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. John Fink, pastor of the First United Presbyterian church of Winterset. Burial was made in Moon cemetery at Macksburg.
