Orpha Ball Dies At Home

Orpha H. Ball died Sunday, Feb. 8, at her home in Des Moines. She was 67 years old.

Ms. Ball was born in Lorimor, Iowa on March 3, 1913. She was the daughter of Lyman E. Ball and Rebecca Ann Finegan.

Ms. Ball spent most of her life in Lorimor, moving to Des Moines in 1959. She worked for the Bell Telephone Co. for 49 years and was a member of Bell Telphone Pioneers.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mildred Edna Robshaw.

She is survived by one brother, Kenneth Ball, Des Moines; and three sisters, Lora Frazier, Los Angeles, Calif.; Opal Solinger, Afton; and Wanda Handley, Omaha, Neb.

Services were held Wednesday, Feb. 11 at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Phill Hall officiating. Burial was at Greenlawn Cemetery in Afton.
