Heidi De Anna Faust, Ames

Services for Heidi De Anna Faust, 18, were held Thurs., May 30 at the Early Chapel Christian Church, rural Earlham with the Rev. Cheri Gelner officiating. Faust died May 27 at her home.

She was born August 28, 1972 in Winterset to Francis and Viola Faust and lived on the family farm south of Dexter for most of her early years. When she was 13, she moved to Ames to reside at the Mainstream Living Group Home.

She was active in the Special Olympics in the running broad jump and bowling events at district and state levels. She also enjoyed going to Camp Sunnyside and Camp Courageous.

She exhibited projects in 4-H at the Madison County Fair, danced in various recitals and also loved to sing.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lula and Oscar Faust and Ed and Marie Parker, and a nephew, Kurt Engelbrecht.

Her survivors include her parents; two brothers, Dennis Faust of Dexter and Danny Faust of Earlham; two sisters, Diana Engelbrecht of Eldridge and Donna Faust of Dexter; four nephews, Corey, Kevin and Craig Engelbrecht and Andrew Faust; three nieces, Jodi, Becky and Crystal Faust; and her Mainstream Living family.

Burial was at Penn Center Cemetery, rural Earlham.

Heidi DeAnna Faust, the daughter of Francis and Viola Faust, was born August 28, 1972 in Winterset, Iowa and died May 27, 1991 at her home in Ames, Iowa.

Her survivors include her parents; two brothers, Dennis of Dexter and Danny of Earlham; two sisters, Diana Engelbrecht of Eldridge, Iowa and Donna Faust of Dexter; four nephews, Corey, Kevin and Craig Engelbrecht and Andrew Faust; three nieces, Jodi, Becky and Crystal Faust and her Mainstream Living family.

Funeral services were conducted on May 30, 1991 at Early Chapel Christian Church, rural Earlham, Iowa with Reverend Cheri Gelner officiating. Suzanne Turner provided organ music and Russell Leeper was soloist. Pallbearers were Paul Turner, Doyle Mapes, Lloyd Smith, Dale Smith, Kenneth Payne and Charles Hochstetler. Interment was in Penn Center Cemetery, rural Earlham, Iowa.
