Clifford Guy Burton

EARLHAM-A funeral for Clifford Guy Burton, 71, of Earlham was held March 25, 1992 at the United Methodist Church here. Mr. Burton died of cancer on March 21. Burial was at the Earlham Cemetery.

The son of Earnest and Maude Gertrude Ferguson Burton, he was born at Civil Bend, Mo. On June 6, 1920. He married Carol Pauline Bruner on April 21, 1940. He had lived at Earlham since 1950 and was employed by Marquette Cement. He was a member of the Earlham United Methodist Church.

Mr. Burton was preceded in death by his parents; by two sisters, Lana and Georgia; and by three brothers, Ray, Burle and Ervin.

Survivors include his wife, Carol; a son, Rex Burton of Ankeny; a daughter Phyllis Jobst of Des Moines; a brother and a sister, Lester Burton and Eva Harlow, both of Gallatin, Mo.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
