Etta May Bailey, Winterset

Services for Etta May Bailey, 83, longtime Madison County resident who died Feb. 4 at the Care Center North in Winterset were held Tuesday, Feb. 8, at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Theodore Clemens officiating. Burial was at the Union Chapel Cemetery.

Born Oct. 2, 1899 in Green County, she was the daughter of Harry and Mary Hurley Kirby. She married Russell Bailey in August of 1932 and spent most of her life as a housewife. She was a member of the Church of God.

Survivors include a step-son, Willis Bailey of Winterset; a half-brother, William Evison of Truro; and half-sisters, Mrs. Marie Smith of Winterset and Mrs. Merle McMichael of Truro.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a half brother and a half sister.
