Resident Dies At Age 82

Estella C. Bailey, 82, died last Thursday at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. She had lived in Winterset the past 61 years and was affiliated with the Foursquare Church.

Mrs. Bailey was born December 7, 1889 at Luther, Iowa, a daughter of Calvin A. and Angeline Abrahams Shade. She was married to William Bailey August 26, 1922 in Boone.

Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William, a brother and a sister.

She is survived by two children, George Bailey of Winterset and Charles Bailey of Altoona, two brothers, Leland Shade of Creston and Calvin Shade of Peru and a sister, Isabella Platts of Peru.

The funeral was held Friday afternoon at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Walter A. Samp in charge. Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery.
