Air Force Pilot Is Buried Here

Lt. John R. Babcock, missing in action in Vietnam since Dec. 18, 1968, was buried Aug. 20 in the Winterset cemetery.

Lt. Babcock, a pilot, went down with his plane in 1968, and the remains were found just recently. He was born Feb. 10, 1944, a son of John T. and Pearl Richards Babcock.

He was a nephew of the late Bert Richards of this community.
