December 22, 2004Alfred Edwin Jeffs, 88, of Lorimor died Dec. 14, 2004 at his home.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 17 at Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset with the Rev. Bob Epperson officiating. Burial was at Clark Cemetery, Monroe Township, Madison County.
Alfred Jeffs was born June 28, 1916, in Des Moines to James L. and Delia M. Jeffs. Alfred, a farmer, had been a longtime resident of the Barney area, having lived on the same farm for 80 years.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Jeffs and Ken Jeffs, and two sisters, Lenora Agnes Jeffs and Gertrude Pritchard.
He is survived by one sister, Doris Rickets of Winterset.
