Funeral services for Hazel Chase Athey who died June 26 at Winterset Care Center South, were held Monday, June 29, at Collins Funeral Home. She was 87 years old at the time of her death.
Born June 30, 1893 in Madison county, she was the daughter of Wilson Edmund Chase and Anna Rachel Applegate.
She lived most of her lifetime in Madison county and attended Dexter United Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Verle Chase; and a sister, Mabel Black.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Eunice Chase of Winterset and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial was at Chase McDonald Cemetery.
