Laura Pearl Armstrong of Des Moines died Saturday, July 2, at Des Moines General Hospital at the age of 90. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 5, at Collins Funeral Home with Rev.Byron Ayers officiating. Burial was at Peru Cemetery.
Born April 27, 1893, in Madison County, she was the daughter of George W. and Olive James Armstrong. A Methodist, she moved from Madison County in 1969 to Des Moines to make her home with her nephew Richard Howard and family.
She is survived by her sister, Mrs. H. R. Ogburn of Marshall, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and two sisters.
