The news of the sudden death of Wm. Nichols, of Adair county, saddened many homes among relatives and friends of the neighborhood. He had been as well as usual until two days before his death. After severe suffering for 48 hours, death came.

He was about 45 years old and left a wife and six children to mourn his loss. Few men in their journey through life make and retain as many friends as Wm. Nichols has. Our deepest sympathy is with his bereaved family.
