Lee Anderson, Chariton

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 19, at 10:30 a.m. at Fielding Funeral Home in Chariton for Lee H. Anderson, a former Winterset resident who died Tuesday at Lucas County Memorial Hospital in Chariton. He was 83 years old.

Mr. Anderson was born June 7, 1898 in Klickatat county, Washington.

He lived in Winterset most of his life before moving to Chariton in 1969, where he was a foreman in the construction of the county hospital.

Following the completion of the hospital he was employed as a maintenance engineer at the facility, a position he held until his retirement in 1963.

He is survived by three sons, Howard of Pella, and Wayne and Wallace of Winterset; two daughters, Carol and May Anderson, both of Winterset; a brother, Carl of Gifford, Wash.; and four granddaughters.

Officiating at the funeral will be Rev. Ronald Stein. Burial will be in Winterset Cemetery.
