Winterset Resident Found Dead of Natural Causes In Her Home Here
Wilfae Allison, a resident of Winterset since 1946, was found dead in bed at her home on West Buchanan street Monday morning. The body was found by a neighbor, Mrs. Ray Eivins, and Winterset police officers.
Dr. Paul Eggleston, county medical examiner, was called. After an investigation he reported that Miss Allison had died of natural causes Sunday evening.
Miss Allison was 79 years of age. She was a native of Mt. Etna, Iowa, where she was born April 18, 1888, a daughter of Andy and Olive Allison. Her life was spent in the Mt. Etna and Corning communities until 1946 when she moved to Winterset.
She was a member of the Methodist church and the Rebekah lodge.
Nearest surviving relative is a brother, Ray Allison of Winterset and four nephews.
Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday afternoon from the Roland Funeral home in Corning, conducted by Asa Smith, pastor of teh Winterset Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints. Burial was to be made in the Mt. Etna Cemetery.
