CECIL H. DRAKE, Winterset

Funeral services for Cecil H. Drake, a life-long resident of Madison County, were held this Wednesday, May 29, at 10 a.m. from Collins Funeral home. He was 85 years of age.

A son of Will W. and Effie DeVault Drake, he was born in Jackson township of this county on Dec. 20, 1899. He farmed in that area for many years, and was a member of the Methodist church.

He is survived by his wife, the former Esther E. Wolfe; and by two sisters, Deva Danner of Muscatine, Ia., and Loretta L. Drake of Winterset.

Preceding him in death were two brothers, Alfred and Harold Drake.

Mr. Drake died May 24, 1985, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Officiating at the funeral service was Pastor Al Polito, Jr. Burial was in the Moon Cemetery south of Macksburg.
