Nancy Ellen Rectenbaugh, Earlham

Memorial services for Nancy Ellen Rectenbaugh, 58, will be held December 1 at 11:00 a.m. at the Earlham United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nova Wells and the Rev. Eldon Cole officiating. The family will meet with friends Fri., Nov. 30, 7-9 p.m. at McKee Funeral Home in Earlham. Rectenbaugh died November 22 at her home in Earlham.

The daughter of Ted and May Watson Glascock, she was born May 20, 1932 in Des Moines. She was raised in and around Norwalk and graduated from Norwalk High School in 1949. She was active in music and played for many school events. On September 10, 1950 she married Verne Black, and they moved to Earlham in 1953. He died in 1975 of cancer. Nancy married John Rectenbaugh October 20, 1979. She worked at various jobs in the Earlham area, including several years at the City Hall. She was employed for the past three years at Allied Group in Des Moines. She was an active member of the Blue Goose Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her husband, John; her mother, May glascock of Earlham; her daughter, Kathy Walker; her son, Steven Black of Earlham; John's children; Julie Rectenbaugh of West Des Moines and Karen Neff of Des Moines; and grandchildren.
