M. Oleta Allen, 90, of Winterset, died of leukemia on Nov. 12, 1995 at the Community Care of Winterset. Funeral services are 10 a.m. today, Nov. 15, at the First Christian Church in Winterset. The Rev. Bobby Dickerson will officiate the services and burial will be at the North McDonald Cemetery in Madison County

She was born in Deer Creek on March 30, 1905 to William and Roxie Ann (Shawhan) Turnquist. She married Frank E. Allen in Adel on March 28, 1930. She was a homemaker and a resident of Winterset since 1927. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Winterset and a member of the Progressive Study Club; Eastern Star; and the Rebecca Lodge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, three brothers; and two sisters.

Surviving relatives include two sons, Billie Allen and wife Ida of Chehalis, Wash., and John Allen and wife Mary Ellen of Overland Park, Kansas; two daughters, Cleda Montgomery of Pomona, Calif., and Shirley Boulton of Rifle, Colo.; one sister, Mildred Rasmussen of Las Vegas, Nev.; one niece, Twyla Bjelke; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the First Christian Church.
