Rites For MARY KLINGAMAN held

Mrs. Mary A. Klingaman, a longtime resident of Madison County, died at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines on Tuesday, September 24, 1974. She was 91 years of age.

Mary A. Klingaman was born at Guthrie Center on December 20, 1882, the daughter of George and Mary Ann Hutchinson Huffman. She was married to Charles Curtis Klingaman at Winterset On July 4, 1903.

Mrs. Klingaman spent most of her life as a farm wife and homemaker in Webster township. She was affiliated with the Oak Grove Church.

Survivors include four sons: Joseph H. Klingaman of Redfield; Emory F. Klingaman of Des Moines; George Curtis Klingaman of Pueblo, Colorado; and Irvin N. Klingaman of Winterset; and two daughters: Ori Anna Sorenson of Belmond, Iowa and Ethel Lillian Eyerly of Des Moines.

Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Klingaman was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. The last of her family, she was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 27 at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with the Rev. Charles Updike presiding. Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery.
