Gertrude Allen, Arcadia, Calif.

Memorial services for Mrs. Gertrude Allen 92, of Arcadia, Calif., formerly of Winterset will be held at the First Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20.

Mrs. Allen died of congestive heart failure, Tuesday, Feb. 6, at the home of her daughter, Francine Adams, of Arcadia. Interment will be in the North McDonald Cemetery.

Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Clarence Allen, on June 7, 1939; a daughter, Mary Maxine Rinard; a granddaughter, Sharon Kay Peters and a grandson, Michael Travis Allen.

Surviving sons are Myron Park Allen Sr., of Winterset, Herbert Fred Allen of Des Moines, Jack Allen of De Soto, Texas and Robert Roy Allen of Bellflower. Daughters surviving are Laura Francine Adams of Arcadia, Mae Baker of Winterset, Lucille Burkholder of Riverside, Cal. and Floy Evelyn Torvid of Monrovia, Cal. and a grandson she helped raise, Charles Adams of Bellflower, Cal. She has 26 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.
