Services for George Wight Drake, 92, of rural Winterset, who died Nov. 24, 1984, at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa, Kan., were held Tuesday, Nov. 27 at the Foursquare Church with the Rev. Robert Epperson officiating. Burial was at the Winterset cemetery.
Born in Winterset Sept. 8, 1892, he was the son of Everett and Dicy Wight Drake. He spent his lifetime in this area and was a retired stockman and farmer.
Mr. Drake was a member of the Webster Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, John E. Drake of Winterset; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and an infant sister.
