Services for Elwood W. Ham, 74, Winterset, who died July 24th at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held at the First United Methodist Church July 27, 1988, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Clarence Lautt officiating.

Born Jan. 27, 1914 in Madison County, he was the son of Frank and Sybil Ham. He was a lifelong resident of Madison County and was retired from farming and county road maintenance work. He was still active with carpentry, woodworking and restoring antique furniture.

He married Garnet Lake on Dec. 9, 1937. He is survived by three daughters and a son: Eva McDonald and Betty McKeever, both of Winterset, Sharon Dean of Ottumwa and son Dennis of Ames; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a brother, Emory Ham of Boise, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and one brother.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
